The Ocean, Bubbles, Waves and Clear Skies

Scope-O-Scope (version 0) is a metaphysical metaphor rendered in object form, reflecting a layered interpretation of perception, consciousness, and reality. Each component symbolizes an aspect of existential awareness: “The Eye” is the passive witness, ever-present yet impartial, devoid of ego or desire. The “Spider-eye” disperses this singular awareness into multiplicity, mirroring how consciousness fragments across experiences and perspectives. The “Wind-chime” embodies the movement of the ebb and flow of life, from one blocking side to the other, always shifting, with an occassional glimpse of what is beyond. Finally, “The Mirror” suggests self-reflection and the ultimate return to source, the final glimpse beyond the duality when one "sees thyself". Altogether, the device proposes that life is a recursive act of observation, in which the universe, through countless lenses and shifting forms, is looking back at itself in an eternal act of self-recognition.
